When they say Warren Buffet is investing in you, well you pretty much have it made or at least appear as though you do. That can be said for China’s BYD (Build Your Dreams), an E6 all-electric car. This is a true 5 passenger sized vehicle. Get this its range is from 200-250 miles. Yes that is very, very good. It maybe a family sized style van, but it’s no slowly poly, it moves from 0 to 60 in around 10 seconds. It can travel at a top speed of 100mph. 50% charge takes 10 minutes and an 80% charge takes 15 minutes. So you can see this car is all around user friendly and it looks like a regular car, I mean it doesn’t look like a vehicle a mini alien with a giant head would drive.
So maybe because BYD has its beginning in the battery business, they can see things from a different perspective. The battery is a FE (Feeous) battery. It’s what’s giving the E6 that long distance range. It can reach speeds up to 93 mph. The E6 can fit 5 people comfortably and a whole load of luggage. It looks like a stylish wagon, not flashy, not bulky or funky. As I said before it doesn’t look like most of the non-sporty electric cars. In the dashboard there’s a nice split LCD screen, which is separate from the thin panoramic display screen at the top of the dash. It’s pretty mellow, nothing to run home about in regards to design.
However, it does seem a bit cluttered. Perhaps they should take a peek at the Kia Pop, Nissans Townpod or even the E-tron. It boasts a radar back-up system, nice and has dual zone climate controls which are a great feature. Don’t you hate fighting over the air? It has a GPS Navigation and multimedia entertainment system. I think color scheme and usability was not a big factor here or, just the audio section alone, had me searching for some Xanex. Over-all if a real feel, reliable electric car is what you’re looking for then by all means. It should be available for around $40,000 US dollars or less. I think BYD will go far; at least they have come pretty far, compared to the other big guns that still need reprimanding from time to time. I think Buffet is onto something. I guess it’s too late to buy affordable stocks now.
