Everyone wants to know how to grow their hair. It must be hard to come by. I see a lot of wigs out there, especially on Black people. Some look great, some look downright awful. Why is black hair so hard to grow? Perhaps it’s all the relaxers we put in. Its not for lack of hair products, Is it? It can’t be. There are so many different hair products out there. I just saw one the other day. It was a discounted item, hence the only reason I stopped to inquire. It usually costs about 3 times the discounted price tag of $15.99. I don’t remember the name, but you put it on your scalp and it is supposed to work like Rogaine and stimulate hair growth.
I often find myself in these beauty or discount stores, standing for hours trying to figure out what is bogus and what is not. Thank God! for my iphone. I Google every item and find the unbiased reviews. The security person must be wondering what the heck is she doing there for 2 hours in the same spot. I tell you , it can get tiring. So I did a quick Google on some well known remedies for black hair growth and was interested to see if any ingredients coincided with the ingredients of the 30 products I found on the shelf. Of course you know that lifestyle not limited to diet plays a role. Oh, and who can forget heredity. A blessing or the curse of the Gods. How you style your hair and the shampoo, conditioner, hair creams etc, can be an asset or a hindrance in letting your locks flow. I had a hairstylist tell me that she knew I played with the front of my hair too much. She said, " You don’t even have bangs, stop doing that , or your hair is going to fall out." She was correct, I hate my forehead , but I hate bangs even more , at least on me , I look like a 2 year old. I am constantly fussing with the front.
I came across an article with discussed diet. I don’t know about fat, junk food and sugar hindering ones hair growth, I can’t say I agree as I stuffed so much candy, fat and other junk food down my throat between the ages of 5 to 24, and my hair was down to my lower back. I went on a health trip for 10 years and my hair didn’t sprout more than 1 inch a month. So what does that mean, I don’t know , maybe stress played a bigger factor, reality sinks in after 23. Then there are all these products that claim to help you, with the stress you put on your hair like styling, blow-drying, swimming, and sunbathing. Most of them are rubbish!!! Look at the ingredients sometimes. I actually saw a product which stated it would moisturize your hair, looked at the ingredients, and had to ask myself were was the moisturizer, there was nothing but fragrances and chemicals . Then one product claimed to have vitamin C in it and , I googled it and found out the only benefit from a vitamin on ones hair is in a certain consistency or form. Did no one tell that to this company, guess not.
A lot of unnecessary harsh chemicals and toxins are in these products.
So what can help hair grow, well I know for a fact one of the components is, water. You don’t have to be a genius to know that. Water changes everything it can change the potency of your urine. It can reduce skin ailments. Oh! And it can help you lose weight. I know, I won’t tell you how many glasses are suggested, you have heard it all before. But if you can drink at least 4 glasses a day, you are doing better than I am. I hate water. So I have to buy the flavored stuff. ‘Vitamin water" isn’t bad as it has no artificial flavors or additives like those gross artificial sweeteners.
Protein is another ingredient, The hair is made up of protein.. My doctor noticed I was involuntarily losing weight, which didn’t bother me much, until he said , " Just make sure you don’t start losing your hair." Heck No!, the next day, I headed to the grocery store and bought 30 probiotic Yoplait’s. I won’t be Kate Moss, but I will have good hair! So what other ways can you get a good amount of protein. Well Yogurt is one way and I suggest the authentic Greek style, OFage is the best, the others are not that authentic. By the way Greek yogurt can have as much as 14 grams of protein. Fish is great; you get your Omega 3′s and protein. There are other meats, but fish is the best for hair growth. I read a blog on a product called "Beauty 4 Ashes Super Hair Growth System",. It is supposed to be all natural. Well as natural as possible. I checked it out at www.discoverb4a.com .
Yep looks expensive, but it also looks authentic. I read the ingredients. I actually understood what they were without having to Google. They state that their products are not tested on animals, come in recyclable plastic packaging, and contain ingredients that are biodegradable, non-toxic. Each product is made fresh to order? I will look further into this., and their specialty items are made from fresh herbs, oils and plant and fruit extracts. None of their products contain any of those Sulfates. I mean any by the over 10 that they list. No Sodium Thiosulfate, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, TEA-Dodecylbenzene, Ammonium Xylene Sulfonate, Sodium Dodecyl Sulfonate ,Sodium C12-15 Alkyl Sulfate.
Okay, I think I’m going to buy one, some scalp treatment, since healthy hair starts from the inside out. Wish me luck. And one last thing,; don’t forget to exercise. I’m not saying you’ve got to go to advanced Zumba class every night. Have you tried a basic Zumba class? I almost passed out. There I was looking all pretty and sexy and I almost passed out. So by all means I am not saying you have to be a female Arnold.
But you have to work the body, move it a little now and again. How about a little yoga? Okay you might curse out the instructor within 15 minutes, but at least it’s less strenuous. Try hot yoga? You know , hot like a sweat shop, ha!! No, It’s great. It helps alleviate mind and body stress and sweat the toxins out at the same time. You can do this at home. By Yoga balance ball for $12. Well I am going to leave you for now and order some Beauty 4 Ashes products. If it works you’ll hear about it and if it doesn’t you’ll definitely hear about it.
